Charity Yacht Race

Many Synergist customers will know Anna Root, as she has been instrumental in project managing a large quantity of Synergist installations over the past few years as part of the Express Systems team. But what many may not know is that she is currently participating in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, sailing this month from Brazil to South Africa in the second leg of the race. All for a very worthwhile cause.

Such a task would be an arduous challenge for a seasoned yacht crew member, but Anna is no sea salt. Working with new Synergist clients – typically marketing and advertising agencies, PR firms and consultancies – is very much a full-time job, ensuring the job costing and business software modules fit their needs just the way they want it. It’s a busy life, one that she has temporarily swapped for the relentlessly pounding waves of the Southern Atlantic.

It’s all in the memory of Paul Scully, a young father, husband and serviceman in the Navy, Fleet Air Arm from 1991 to 1998, who sadly lost his fight against a brain tumour on 26th December 2008. Anna is raising money for the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust.
